“I build data ecosystems that center people, support culture, and help institutions grow into who they aspire to be. Much of my work begins with curiosity, questions, and a recognition that institutions are living ecosystems.”
Currently, I serve as Director of Data Science and Analytics at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, where I collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams and architect data strategies that inform planning, evaluation, and policy. My journey includes leadership roles at Duke University, where I taught and pioneered data and evaluation systems, led university-wide assessment initiatives, and co-developed groundbreaking programs that enhanced both academic and operational outcomes.
As a social scientist, I’m drawn to the deeper patterns: the structures behind outcomes, the stories inside data, and the culture embedded in how we measure, govern, and grow. I call this the architecture for change. Ultimately, it’s about what we build, how it shapes our decisions, and the futures we make possible.
Before my time at Duke University, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow and Provost's Predoctoral Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. I earned my PhD from Indiana University and BA (Honors Program) from the University of Michigan.
