Coalition for Next Generation Life Science

In 2017, I was appointed by Duke University President Vince Price to serve as Duke’s representative on the Coalition for Next Generation Life Science.

The Coalition is a national effort that provides meaningful data that speaks directly to the current state of graduate education, postdoctoral training, and career prospects in the life sciences. Our central aim is to facilitate a greater degree of transparency and comparability for students, faculty and institutions of higher learning. Founding members of the Coalition include: Cornell University, Duke University, Johns Hopkins University, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of California-San Francisco, the University of Maryland-Baltimore County, University of Michigan, University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
