2 - Where the Isms Come From

I started working on this episode four days after the mass shooting in my hometown of El Paso, Texas. I don’t know any of the victims and none of my family members were physically harmed.

It took me about two days to emerge from a fog. When I sat down that evening, I wasn’t sure what to write, or how to digest the cruelty that was shown and continues to be projected towards Latinos. I started writing a poem, stream of consciousness, whatever came out, as a way to heal, and to grieve. This is called, Where the Isms Come From. #BridgeBetweenPodcast
