Prelude To Season 2: Happy New Year and Exciting Announcement
Good morning and Happy New Year from The Bridge Between Podcast.
I am excited to share that the first episode of the second season of The Bridge Between will be released on Tuesday, January 21st. Based on the feedback that I received, this season will highlight more stories from Mexico and the frontera along the U.S.-Mexico border. Thank you to those who emailed me and provided feedback. If you haven’t done so already, please reach out to let me know how the stories I am sharing speak to your own experiences and identities.
Also, I have one really exciting announcement to make. The book that I have been referencing in earlier episodes of The Bridge Between is going to be published in June of 2020. The title is And The Clouds Parted: Stories and The Making Of An American Family. I am currently working with an editor to polish the final draft. I am also collaborating with a very talented person, my partner in life, Lacy Kelly Ramos. She has contributed her time and skills to the marketing, art direction, design, and layout of the book. This book is the first in a long series of collaborations we have in mind to do together. And The Clouds Parted will not only contain short stories, long form writing, and poetry, it will also feature original photos and documents from the Ramos family archive as well as photos from the governments of Mexico and the United States. In addition, And The Clouds Parted will also feature centuries old documents from religious sources. I am incredibly excited about this development. I will provide more updates as the release date nears.
